Our Luxury Rhubarb Hand Wash, iconically named Rhubarb Rhubarb!, has been a firm favourite since the inception of Noble Isle. When we created the brand in 2011, we started with a few core fragrances. The soft pink hue of the liquid hand gel itself, combined with the bittersweet, tart notes of fresh Rhubarb have kept it at the top of our best-seller list for over a decade. Popular with hoteliers, retailers and you, featured in Harpers Bazaar, Vogue and stocked in Sephora, Harrods and Liberty – we thought it was time we dedicated a piece to our one-of-a-kind fragrance.

The Iconic Rhubarb Rhubarb! Hand Wash

The Rhubarb Rhubarb! Luxury Hand Wash, a bittersweet fragrance reminiscent of the dewy wake up of a Yorkshire Spring. This is a bright and complex fragrance of crushed Tarragon and muddled Rosemary complemented by the rich, aromatic notes of fresh bitter Rhubarb. The result is an extraordinary and surprising fresh crisp aroma.

We include real extract of Rhubarb inside every bottle, meaning our Rhubarb Hand Wash is not only fragrantly perfect but it’s rich in Calcium and Vitamin C – known for its invigorating and cleansing properties.

Our Rhubarb extract is sourced from E. Oldroyd & Sons, a sixth-generation rhubarb farm in the Yorkshire Triangle, overseen by the ‘high priestess of rhubarb,’ Janet Oldroyd. Read more about the provenance of this collection here.

The crowning bottle design was inspired by the satisfying shape of an old British whisky keg, and each bottle is topped by a custom-created pump embossed with the Noble Isle Coat of Balms, adding a stylish touch to any room.

Naturally antibacterial hand washes

As specialists in the Hand Care world, we would like to think we know a thing or two about hand washes. All of our Luxury Hand Washes are naturally antibacterial, they also contain natural ingredients, extracts and are created with real perfume.

Soap and water are particularly effective against viruses because soap dissolves the fat membrane that holds the components of the virus together, rendering it harmless.

The natural PH of the skin is between 5.6 and 5.9, with water being neutral at PH 7, this makes our skin slightly acidic. All of our hand washes are PH 5, this means it keeps the natural balance of your skin, prevents dehydration and doesn’t drastically alter your skin’s natural barrier to bacterial flora.

The key is to coat every surface of your hands in soapy water, which makes Liquid Hand Wash a particularly useful weapon in ensuring areas such as the skin between your fingers or around the nails are fully covered. Our Luxury Hand Wash products, created using natural ingredients from around the British Isles, are beautifully scented and gentle on the skin – as well as providing that all-important protection against the spread of germs.
