Why Choose Vegan Products?
Did you know that December 10th marks International Animal Rights Day – a day created as a call to action to build a more compassionate approach to our treatment of animals. At Noble Isle, all our products are vegan and we have recently received accreditation from the Vegan Society. We have also never tested on animals and never will.
Why Choose Vegan Skincare Products?
Choosing natural products that take their nutrients from plants such as the antioxidant-rich Beetroot extract in our Fireside collection or the naturally cleansing Rhubarb extract in our Rhubarb Rhubarb! collection means you’ll be left with naturally nurtured skin and a clear conscience.
Which Ingredients Should I Look Out For?
We don’t use any animal-derived ingredients in our products, including animal by-products such as Lanolin from sheep wool. Animal-derived ingredients are often not clearly identified on packaging, even if you look at the ingredients lists – for example, Beeswax is usually listed as Sera Alba. We’d recommend buying from a trusted source and looking out for products, such as ours, that hold Vegan Society accreditation. Other common animal-derived ingredients include Collagen, Stearic Acid, Squalene, Casein and Shellac.
Products You Can Trust
It’s also worth considering a brand’s supply chain and manufacturing. Our products are made in our own factory in Cheshire by our small, dedicated team to strict quality standards. Many brands outsource their manufacturing so they have to rely on third-party businesses.
Vegan AND Sustainable
Buying locally made vegan products is also a positive choice for the environment. Our packaging is recyclable and we use locally sourced natural ingredients such as antioxidant British Grapes from the North Downs, nutrient-rich Gloucestershire Pears and mineral-dense sustainably harvested Wild Samphire from small, artisan producers and conservationists.
This Animal Rights Day we want to encourage you to think about the products you buy on a regular basis. Don’t be afraid to ask brands about their policies on animal protection or switch to products that are certified by the Vegan Society and cruelty-free.
